Shelly Rosario with her children Martin Perez, Jayce Perez, and Jacob Gonzalez Rosario selecting books from the Little Free Library in front of the Oakbrook Homes Administration Building.
A Little Free Library is now located in front of the Oakbrook Homes Administration Building.
A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange. Anyone may take a book or bring a book to share. If you take a book, you do not need to return that exact book. If you want to give a few books, simply put them in a Little Free Library book exchange.
The Little Free Library is part of a bigger initiative of the 18th Wonder Improvement Association, a community group focused on revitalizing Reading’s southwestern neighborhoods.
Community leaders say a total of 18 “little libraries” are eventually planned for the neighborhoods of the 18W.
