Programs for Youth

More than 1,200 children live, learn, play and thrive in Glenside and Oakbrook Homes

What a tremendous resource! In an effort to provide on-site options for time spent away from family and school, Reading Housing Authority has worked with local partners to ensure that youth who live in Glenside and Oakbrook Homes have safe, productive options. Resources have included after-school and summer programs, opportunities for help with homework and academic success strategies, character and leadership development, substance abuse education and prevention, and technology and fine arts education. Opportunities have also included programs that emphasize healthy lifestyles, sports, exercise and outdoor recreation.

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENTS ARE FORTHCOMING IN THIS AREA, as RHA plans a launch of new youth-driven initiatives. If you have ideas or are interested in getting involved in expanding youth-focused services at RHA, please reach out to us at residentservices@readingha.org.
